Our drivers enjoy the benefits of running their own business with no overhead costs.

The vehicle, fuel, registration, maintenance and insurance (public liability inclusive) is all paid by the owner of the taxi

A driver operates as a sole trader using his/her ABN

The driver receives 50% of the gross earnings per shift

Simple as providing the best possible customer service within the governmental and company rules and regulations.

Experience is gained on the job and the free training prepares a driver for the role.

  1. Hold an Australian open licence (not provisional) for at least 12 months
  2. Apply for a Drivers Authorisation through the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)

    You will need to acquire a Medical Certificate for a Motor Vehicle Driver to operate a commercial vehicle and submit this with the application.
  3. Obtain an Australian Business Number to gain access to the Eftpos system utilised in a taxi.

  4. Attend the FREE three-day Suncoast Cabs training sessions

(Proof of lodgement of a Drivers Authorisation Application is the only requirement needed to attend a training session).
